Born in Paris in 1855, Quizet took up painting in 1903. Essentially self taught, he exhibited in Paris at the Salon de la Societe des Beaux-Arts, the Salon Des Independants and at the Autumn Salon. He was a friend of Maurice Utrillo, whom he helped in his early period in Montmatre around 1900. He was also friendly with Leprin and with Valtat and was made a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour for his contribution to the Arts. In 1943 he painted five large decorative panels for Town Hall I Pre-St-Gervais.
