Artist biography:
French painter of landscapes, marines and coastal views. He was born at Lannoy in Northern France and was a pupil of Lehmann and Carolus Duran. He first exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1875. Paintings by Rossert are in the museums at Saint-Brieuc, La Rochelle and Geneva. He was an admirer of Boudin whose influence was present in many of his paintings.
